Hi, Im Emily !

I have been photographing families and Weddings for the last decade. My work is predominately about capturing natural moments as they unfold. I have a passion to document those small details that tell your story and compile a collection of images that will be memorable and inspiring.

I like to take a documentary style approach when photographing, I believe this brings to life your photo’s and how you felt at that moment. I’d love you to enjoy the experience of having your photo taken as well as your gallery of images so I aim to make the whole experience as relaxed as possible.

As a Photographer, it’s an absolute honor and deeply rewarding to know that the photos I take will be smiled upon for decades to come & cherished by generations beyond us.

I chose this journey of photography because it gives me the opportunity to capture significant milestones in peoples lives, it allows me to witness incredible raw human emotions and to connect with people.

FAQ’s

  • Do you take tradtional posed shots?

Yes I will spend some time taking some relaxed portraits of you together as a family but I spend a lot of time capturing moments as they unfold. I love the candid photo’s as these really tell your story and let your personalities shine through.

  • Where can we have our session?

Sessions can take place in your family home, I usually recommend this for newborn sessions. Or, a local park or woodland. Once you get in touch we can talk about how far you’d like to travel and I can suggest various locations based on this.

  • How long does a session take?

I tend to leave my full portrait sessions open as I don’t like to put too much pressure to get the photos done. But typically they will last between 1-2 hours and I always gage how little ones are getting on.

  • What should we wear?

I always guide you to all look and feel like yourselves. As a guide simple/classic clothes tend to work best and avoiding logos and stripes is preferable. Layering works really well for creating different looks and a change of outfit can be a good idea for very little ones.

Once you’ve made your booking we can have a chat and discuss outfit choices.

  • What should we bring?

As little as possible! We usually venture off the main pathways so buggies may be difficult to use. Personal belongings I can carry for you. The reason for this is I like to take a lot of in between shots and bags can get in the way.

  • What if my children are not playing game?

My ultimate goal is to capture you and your family in the most natural possible way. I will guide you to certain locations but we will be continually moving and exploring which I find helps keep children interested in their surroundings. However the session unfolds there will always be moments throughout which will be worth it. 1-2 hours with a few breaks in between always works out really well!

  • Can we buy prints?

At the moment I am not selling prints, however I can direct you to some places that offer high quality prints from digital files. I provide you with an online gallery where you can download high resolution digital files.

  • What if my child is unwell?

I am happy to reschedule if this happens, all I ask is for you to let me know asap.

  • Do you provide colour and black and white photographs?

I do a mixture, depending what works well for each individual photograph. You can also request black and white copies after you receive your gallery.

  • Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes I usually offer mini sessions in the spring and Autumn but these dates are released about a month before. These sessions last 20 mins and reduced rate.

  • How long until I see my photo's?

I will provide a sneak peak the week after the shoot. The whole gallery will be ready between 2-3 weeks in peak seasons and 1-2 weeks the rest of the year.
